Ben Franklin Board Approves Funding For Five Area Entrepreneurs

STATE COLLEGE, PA - Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central and Northern Pennsylvania approved more than $700,000 in funding for five tech-based companies located in the region served by the Center:
Indigo Biosciences, Inc. - Centre County – Received $100,000 to continue the commercialization of single-use frozen whole cell assays used by toxicologists, researchers, and drug developers. SoftGenetics, LLC – Centre County – Received $110,000 to further develop and market software analysis tools used by genetic researchers to detect and analyze mutations in sample or patient DNA sequence traces. The Ultran Group - Centre County - Received $130,500 to further design, produce, and market proprietary, non-contact ultrasonic technology products and systems for industrial applications.
